Digital Workshop
I started my digital workshop with Merrill Rainey. So far I have been introduced to the tools of Photoshop and Illustrator. These are my first vectors in Illustrator.
Art Journal
I started my art journal based on “No Excuses Art Journaling: Making Time for Creativity” by Gina Rossi Armfield. And I organized my fountain pens and inks, so I can use those in my journal too.
Bookbinding Adventures
I love the side bound books! I made a soft cover version that has blue end paper. I ran out of text block paper, so I picked up the Canson art paper laying on my desk instead to make this soft cover sketchbook. And I experimented with a ribbon on the side for a bookmark,
Side-bound Books
I’ve been practicing my side-bound hardcover books, so I made a series of four.
Bookbinding Day Three
I finished two more books. The first is a hardcover with four signatures, and the second is a Turkish Map Fold Book.
Bookbinding Day Two
This is day two of bookbinding fun. Day One consisted of choosing which patterns to use, cutting the paper and Davey board, and gluing the paper to the Davey board. And today, Day Two, was sewing day. Tomorrow will finish the last round of glue.
Acrylic Paintings
I watched “Painting Landscapes with David Dunlop” but I didn’t paint any landscapes. Check out my first acrylic paintings that turned into a series.
