NaNo–Day 30
At 82,752 words, I am amazed at how much I wrote this month. This is the first year that I finished before the 27th (finished on the 21st). And I finally (FINALLY) validated my NaNo novel, so I officially won NaNo, even though my novel is not quite at the end yet. It has been …
NaNo–Day 17
45955 words. My secondary character nearly died but survived. The new character conceived last week appeared. My characters are on a new journey that coincides with the previous journey.
NaNo–Day 7
I had a lovely time at a local write-in. I wrote over four thousand words! And one of the characters I expected to die ended up surviving.
NaNo–Day 19
In my writing session this morning, my shipwrecked characters were either rescued or found the island. And in the process, one of my characters was blinded. My word count is now 36,186 words. I’m really looking forward to the Write-In tonight at Seed Coworking.
NaNo–Day 18
My characters are struggling to pass the third test. At 31,705 words, the novel is cruising along. Check out this NaNo video from John Green.

NaNo–Day 6
So I was able to get caught up from yesterday. My nap lasted longer than expected. But it is okay because I was able to make it to 10737 words. Definitely getting a better idea of this novel’s shape and characters. And it helps that I was able to get my new laptop today. I …
Surviving a Borderline Parent
It’s amazing where research can lead you. For my current novel, my protagonist is pregnant and the daughter of a borderline mother. I’ve already added “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” by Heidi Murkoff to my reading list and bookshelves, and “Surviving a Borderline Parent: How to Heal Your Childhood Wounds & Build Trust, Boundaries, …
40140–NaNo
Last night after work I continued my NaNo novel. I reached 31,036 before I called it quits and went to bed. After sleeping, I got up and wrote for four and a half hours straight (with breaks of course) and I ate traditional Thanksgiving fare. I am very thrilled to be ahead of the projected 40,008 …
