Almost Time for NaNo
This year I’m using a sketchbook for my NaNo novel, and I’ll be using a fountain pen. Every week I’ll track how much ink I’ve used. I’m starting a new bottle of Waterman‘s South Sea Blue with the fountain pen I bought from Pens and More.
Preparing for NaNo
It’s September, which means it is almost time for NaNoWriMo! In the meantime, I’m researching material for my novel and reading books about Finnish history, reading books written by Finns, brushing up on my music theory and history, and continuing to learn the Finnish language. If you would like to learn more about NaNoWriMo, click …
NaNo 2012
This year, my NaNo was a success. Without a novel on board, I have caught up on some chores. Looking back over the month, there were several days my word count was zero, but the most words I wrote in one day was 5275. This was the first NaNo where I finished two days early …
NaNo–Day 28
Today is a record. I have not finished NaNo prior to November 30, so to finish on November 28 with 50,396 words is pretty awesome. To sleeping for a full eight hours and writing more poetry, I welcome December.
NaNo–Day 27
I am in the home stretch. At 46,312 words, it is hard to believe that another NaNo has come and gone. To the next three days…let’s finish this novel.
NaNo–Day 25
43847 words. Five days to go. It’s nice to be ahead so late in the game. I looked at my stats from last year, and because of my finger sprain, I was behind in the middle of the month and had to catch up when I could type fast enough. This year I got behind …
NaNo–Day 24
After an unexpected tango lesson, my characters have made it to 42,138 words. Let the music continue!
NaNo–Day 23
It’s hard to believe that I am almost at 40,000 right now. With 39,892, I should cross that threshold during my next writing session. Then before I know it, I’ll get to 50,000 and November will be over.
NaNo–Day 22
Whew. I made it to 37,756 words. My characters experienced the novel’s ending, which I have been itching to write but put off. Now with the end in sight, let’s see what else can happen in the novel’s middle.
NaNo–Day 19
I have 31,935 words so far. And with an updated list of scenes to write, I am ready to tackle the last ten days of NaNoWriMo 2012.
