Pyrography
Trying new mediums is always fun. With the introduction to pyrography years ago when I decorated my djembe, I’ve looked into pyrography with “The Amazing Art of Pyrography” by Robert Boyer.
My first experiments:

I am usually behind when it comes to having the next journal complete by the time I finish one journal. But this time, I finished Journal #22 as I finished making the next five journals.

Ashes: The Graphic Novel
All semester I’ve been learning about graphic novels, drawing more regularly, and trying new art supplies. The final project received a favorable response, so I decided to post my process work and final chapters on a separate blog. I will continue to work on Charlotte’s story in a graphic novel version and in a hybrid novel.
New Journals
I got to go to a cool paper store, Paper Source. It is cool to use a journal with paper made from limestone, use the Five Minute Journal, and Art Deco Journals.
