NaNo–Day 1
National Novel Writing Month is finally here! Got off to a great start this morning with 3,440 words. Two scenes I didn’t expect came to mind while working on the beginning, so I’m looking forward to tackling those tomorrow.

Three Departments
My creative life can be divided into three sections: art, fiction, and poetry. I’ve been using a Moleskine Planner to help me keep track of which projects in each section I worked on for the day. And the facing pages are great for lists and brainstorming. I haven’t used a planner since I was in high school. Such a wonderful addition to my writing journal and writing minutes!
Letters to My Future Self
Practically every prompt book I’ve worked with had at least one prompt about writing a letter to your future or younger self. This book, “Letters to My Future Self” takes the prompt to the next level, providing envelopes with a prompt on the flap, a page to write the letter, and stamps to seal it. Plus I’m excited to try this bookbinding technique.

Poetry Project Update
Poetry Project #6:
Less than 60 songs left from Nightwish. The goal is to finish them before the new album is released next year, and then do those songs!
Poetry Project #7:
I finished the Firefly episodes and the Serenity movie. So fun to write with orange ink in an orange handmade book.
Poetry Project #8:
I’ve finished some texts for “What is Love” and added a few more titles.
Printmaking Challenge Complete!
I signed up for The Sketchbook Project (almost done with the sketchbook). Twice a year they have Printmaking Challenges, so I signed up and created this, my first ever printmaking experience.
