Bookbinding Adventures

These books were exchanged for paintings made by a friend. I am in the process of making my first handmade journals. I’ve enjoyed writing in books I’ve made for other projects, and I figured it was time to make a journal that I would write in every day. At the antique store I found two old keys that will also be included in the journal’s design.

The Sketchbook Project

I have decided to participate in The Sketchbook Project. My sketchbook has arrived in the mail, and now I’m working on what story I want to tell and illustrate. If you’re interested in participating, click here for more information.

Art Journal–March

Inspired by “No Excuses Art Journaling: Making Time for Creativity” by Gina Rossi Armfield, I made these for March. Can you find the four-leaf clover?

Journal Complete!

I have finished my 14th writing journal. After I use my 15th, I will write in a journal that I bound myself.

Daily Writing, Daily Art

I’ve written every day for three years now. I want to do more with my time everyday, like poetry, fiction, and art. So I’ve decided to try to make a habit of writing poetry daily, writing fiction daily, and making art daily. I’ve missed two days so far sick with a cold, but here’s to making The Daily Writing, Daily Art a habit.
