Published Poem!

Bukowski on Wry published my poems: useless things, let, at the dead end, death of roach, and we will.

Almost Time for NaNo

This year I’m using a sketchbook for my NaNo novel, and I’ll be using a fountain pen. Every week I’ll track how much ink I’ve used. I’m starting a new bottle of Waterman‘s South Sea Blue with the fountain pen I bought from Pens and More.100_6925

Book Workshop

I’ve made an accordion book before but never added a sewn signature. Today I also made a Turkish Map Fold Book and a Blizzard Book at the Art Supply Depo workshop.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson

I finished reading “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” by Shirley Jackson. I first encountered Jackson’s work when I read her short story “The Lottery” in high school. “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” is a great example of an unreliable narrator and the relationship between sisters.

New Poem!

Bukowski On Wry published my poem “useless things.” Check it out here. There is still time to submit a Bukowski erasure poem. The deadline is November 15.

Found Poetry Project

My found poetry project has a new home! I caved in and bought a scrapbook since I prefer doing cut out poetry on scrapbook paper.

Erasure Poetry

If you like Bukowski’s writing and erasure poetry, you should submit your work to Bukowski On Wry.

Practicing for Art Class

Here are some examples of what I’ve been practicing for my art workshop. I used Prismacolor Markers and marker paper. If you’re in the Toledo area, check out the other workshops by Merrill Rainey.
