The Letter Project–Letter from Whitney
Whitney shares an amazing sunset she witnessed. For more details, click here.
NaNo–Day 17
Winter Wheat was amazing! All of the sessions I attended inspired new poems and conflicts for my NaNo novel. I’m at 26,660 words, but I will catch up.
We watched this video.
NaNo–Day 13
I have hit the halfway mark. Today I made it to 25264 words. Whew. And it’s nice to make it to 25 thousand words before November 15.
The Letter Project–Letter to Whitney
My latest letter to Whitney includes art, Halloween greetings, and a story via stick figures.
NaNo–Day 11
Today I made it to 20565 words. My document in Word is 78 pages. It is difficult to believe I’ve already written that much. In two or three days, I will be at the halfway point!
Artistic Fears
Two days ago, Charlie posted a video sharing his fears.
Then his friend Michael posted this video.
I am working on my fourth novel for NaNoWriMo, and there are points when my Inner Editor* says no one will want to read this novel, let alone publish it. The novel is so different from anything that I have ever read, I am worried and scared no one will like it except me. But creating the novel and experiencing the journey with a destination in sight (November 30), I push forward anyway. I am allowed to enjoy the process of this novel. Critiquing, revising, and editing comes later.
NaNo–Day 10
I made it to 18192 words today. At this rate, I will finish my novel on November 27. To finish early is always my goal. Hopefully this year I will be able to make it before the last minute!
If you have a favorite historical time period or multiple, please share. I need help thinking beyond the lists I’ve already made for my characters to visit with their time-traveling abilities. Leave a comment below. Thanks!
NaNo–Day 9
I now have 15662 words written. I went to my favorite coffee shop and enjoyed raspberry hot cocoa as I wrote. And of course, I needed some research materials so I picked up three history books as references and for inspiration.
NaNo–Day 8
I am now at 14,235 words. Yesterday was a slow day. I am still reeling from the writing session on Sunday because it was amazing. And now all I have to do is top it!
And a note to my future self: do as many of the chores as possible before NaNo. Laundry, recyclable items, and general cleaning will need to be done, but don’t leave unfinished business from October. Thank you.
