The focus of August for me was organizing my art studio. Now that I have space to write and create art, I am curious to see if I can catch up in September. I will also be planning my NaNo novel.

Nightwish Poetry Project: I finished typing my poems from the albums Oceanborn and Wishmaster.
Polish a novel draft: I worked on Charlotte’s novel, both graphic novel and hybrid novel, as well as experimented with new recipes.
Organize a poetry collection: I typed poems from journals, wrote poems, and worked on the Nightwish Poetry Project and Uninvited Guest Cross Out Poetry Project.
This month I worked on the second issue of The Magnolia Review. I also went to the Grand Rapids Zine Fest. I organized and expanded my art studio.
After attending the zine fest, I decided to add the goal of making two new zines a month.
Letters and Mail-Art
I joined the International Union of Mail-Artists. Check out my profile here.
I will be assisting Theresa Williams with The Letter Project. For information on how to participate, click here.
Grand Rapids Zine Fest
I had a great time at the Grand Rapids Zine Fest.
My Table.
While in Grand Rapids, I visited three bookstores, Argos Book Shop, Redux Books, and Schuler Books & Music.
I enjoyed my gluten-free sushi and creme brulee at Rockwell Republic.
The IRS Agent
I’ve started a comics project called The IRS Agent. Check it out here.
Art Journey Continues
The Magnolia Review second issue is available online. With the Grand Rapids Zine Fest approaching, I’ve been working on some new zines. I blogged about using composition books for my graphic novel here. I have ideas to reorganize my art studio so I can create more art. Check out the rough sketches of my IRS Agent Comic project here.
