Grand Rapids Zine Fest
I had a great time at the Grand Rapids Zine Fest. My Table. While in Grand Rapids, I visited three bookstores, Argos Book Shop, Redux Books, and Schuler Books & Music. I enjoyed my gluten-free sushi and creme brulee at Rockwell Republic.
Whatcha Mean, What’s a Zine?
“Whatcha Mean, What’s a Zine?: The Art of Making Zines and Mini-Comics” by Mark Todd and Esther Pearl Watson is a great read. I learned new folding techniques to try with my own zines. Definitely a necessary book for zinesters everywhere.
First Accordion Book
I finished my 24 page zine in 24 hours, and in the process I created my first wordless novel and accordion book.
Two Year Anniversary!
I’ve blogged about writing for two years now. Check out the first post here.
