Nightwish Poetry Project: I completed the found poems for all 8 Nightwish albums. I finished typing my poems from the first album, Angels Fall First.
Polish a novel draft: I worked on Charlotte’s novel, both graphic novel and hybrid novel, as well as experimented with new recipes.
Organize a poetry collection: I typed poems from journals, wrote poems, and worked on the Nightwish Poetry Project and Uninvited Guest Cross Out Poetry Project.
This month I worked on the second issue of The Magnolia Review. I’m also preparing for the Grand Rapids Zine Fest in July.
Four Year Anniversary
I’ve blogged about writing and art for four years now. How time flies! Check out my first post here.
Doodle a Day – Home Stretch
I’ve made it to 300 doodles. Not much farther to complete Doodle a Day for a year.
Doodles 301 to 327.
Poetry Project Complete
I started the Nightwish Poetry project in November 2012, and I finished it in June 2015. All eight albums have been explored as cut out and cross out poems.
I’ve also started a poetry compost and fiction compost document to keep track of my writing scraps. Maybe one day they will be polished pieces.
The Sketchbook Project
My sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project is available digitally. Check it out here.

The Rejection Collector
My goal is to submit 250 times this year. I am currently at 86 submissions. Which pieces are in consideration? Which pieces can I submit again?
Besides the Excel spreadsheet tracking my submissions, I started a bound journal to track each individual piece. Each entry contains the title and poetry or fiction or creative nonfiction or art, listing where I’ve submitted it and the date of rejection.
