Bookbinding Day Two

This is day two of bookbinding fun. Day One consisted of choosing which patterns to use, cutting the paper and Davey board, and gluing the paper to the Davey board. And today, Day Two, was sewing day. Tomorrow will finish the last round of glue.

Prompt–Monday, March 12

I’m nearly finished with “Finding Yourself in Transition” by Robert Brumet. One of his quotes: “Creation begins with emptiness. It is from emptiness that new life emerges” (Brumet 87). Write something inspired by the quote. The pale sand is ready to bear witness to art as plastic molds turrets.

Afghan–Complete!

I’ve been working on crocheting this afghan for several years. Not sure exactly when I started it, but I did finish today. It’s one of my favorite crochet patterns I found on a yarn label years ago. I use it for scarves, baby blankets, and afghans. What a relief to finish a large project.
